We therefore went to Olive Garden for dinner last night. My mother who is 79 years young decided to sit at the corner of the table where she felt more comfortable and had open space if she needed to get up during dinner.

When our orders came, I was talking to my 15-year-old, who was in front of me, when I looked to my left to see how my mother was doing. I’m shocked to see Susie, our server, chopping my mom’s steak. I was completely amazed.
She replied, “No problem, I don’t mind, I have grandparents and I know how it is at times,” after I thanked her right away. She kept asking my mom, “Is this okay?,” and I was so grateful that my eyes were watering. Allow me to further break this up for you.
For at least three minutes, she remained there chopping the meat into smaller pieces. I would grin back at my mom as she turned to face me. I ensured her management was fully aware of her actions, conveyed my appreciation to her, and informed him of her compassionate and caring nature.
They don’t teach it to employers. that she deserves praise and recognition for going above and above in her service, which is something that many institutions these days lack. Susie is deserving of the praise!
