Stewart’s family will always treasure the moment she crossed the stage to accept her diploma, even though she struggled with severe cardiomyopathy and was just diagnosed with heart failure.
It was on the day of her graduation when Sienna unexpectedly passed out. The teen cried as she insisted on finishing her trek across the stage after paramedics arrived without warning.
Ten years after receiving a heart transplant, Sienna had been dealing with severe cardiomyopathy since she was four years old. Earlier this year, she started “getting sick.” She had led a very normal life for ten years after her transplant, but more lately she had been “getting weak and slowing down.”
Saevon Chum, Sienna’s mother, disclosed that her daughter would occasionally

The mother told Fox5Atlanta, “The ambulance was there when I arrived.” She had passed out. She had experienced another incident. However, this was the first time she passed out.
After regaining consciousness, Sienna pleaded with her mother to allow her to walk the stage rather than go to the hospital. She was given a standing ovation by her classmates and the audience because she was the last student to get her graduation that day.
“All she said to me was, ‘I just want to walk, I want to graduate.'” She had already missed her prom since she had been in the hospital before to that, so that was all she wanted,” Saevon said.

Regretfully, Sienna died a few weeks after she achieved the significant milestone of high school graduation. As a mother, you are quite proud of her for having persevered through a difficult situation. You must feel proud. I was proud all the way through,” Saevon remarked.
According to her obituary, Sienna was on track to study ultrasound technology in the fall and intended to attend college.
We sincerely apologize for this terrible loss. I hope she finds peace.
