Porky had a secret talent—he was a karate expert! Most pigs spent their days snoozing, eating scraps, or rolling around in the mud.
He was a piglet when it all began. He once unintentionally toppled a pile of bales of hay while exploring the barn.
A dusty, ancient book dropped open to a page headed “Karate for Beginners” when the bales plummeted. Being the inquisitive pig that he was, Porky chose to try it.
To his astonishment, he was quite skilled at imitating the motions from the book!
His nose was an ideal instrument for honing his jabs, and his small pig hooves made terrific roundhouse kicks.
The village soon learned that there was a pig with karate skills.
The cows were impressed, the chickens were in awe, and the farmers—well, they were just plain perplexed. However, there was no denying that Porky had emerged as the most surprising celebrity in the community.
One day, some bullies from the neighborhood, led by a particularly obnoxious rooster named Cluckles, decided they could stand Porky’s karate stunts no more.
In the center of the village square, they issued a challenge to a duel.
