
Over the years, her husband had tried to convince her to change her hairstyle, but she had always taken great pride in her 1.5-meter-long hair.
After 25 grueling years, she finally had enough and went to the hair salon with a few of her friends to get her hair cut to her shoulders.
The owner of the hair shop, Eda Motchka, told WXYZ-TV Detroit of Ramirez, “We love to see different things done on customers — different styles — and we meet very often and I always see her the same way.”
But she did that for a reason. Rosa donated four feet of her hair to Locks of Love, a charitable organization that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer. “I believe that it would brighten the day of someone who is afflicted with a serious illness,” Ramirez stated.
