Following an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 that rocked Myanmar, a building that was being built in Bangkok, Thailand, fell.
The devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar, a neighbor, sent shockwaves through the surrounding region, leaving havoc in its wake.
The vibrations caused many buildings to start to shake, but one skyscraper-in-the-making collapsed.
Onlookers’ footage, which was uploaded online, shows the massive structure straining above the rocky earth movements before collapsing since it was not yet completed.

Before the skyscraper was reduced to a heap of dust and debris, the video shows individuals frantically attempting to flee the Chatuchak district building site.
The number of persons working on the construction site at the time of the incident was unknown to Bangkok police, who told the Associated Press that officers were responding to the location.
According to a BBC update, 43 construction workers are thought to be missing after the 30-story structure fell, despite the fact that there were no initial reports of injuries.
According to a Facebook post from the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, seven employees were able to flee while forty-three others were still stuck.
“When I arrived to inspect the site, I heard people calling for help, saying help me,” Bang Sue district deputy police commander Worapat Sukthai told AFP.
At at 1:30 pm local time today (March 28), an earthquake shook Bangkok, causing sirens to go off and people to be evacuated onto the streets.

Local reports state that the earthquake also caused the Ava Bridge in Myanmar to collapse. Another video shared on Twitter showed a rooftop pool in a Bangkok skyscraper splattering down the side of the structure as it wobbled.
There is an ongoing search for casualties in the city, a Myanmar Fire Services Department officer told Reuters.
They declared: “We have begun the search and are moving throughout Yangon to look for damage and casualties. We don’t currently have any information.
The Myanmar earthquake was felt in practically all portion of Thailand, according to the country’s Department of Disaster Prevention.
Since Myanmar is fighting a civil war, it is difficult to determine the exact extent of the damage, but reports indicate that several residences and places of worship in the capital, Naypyidaw, were impacted.
The epicentre of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake was located 6.2 miles below the surface of the earth, according to the US Geological Survey and Germany’s GFZ Centre for Geosciences. Twelve minutes after the first earthquake, another one struck with a Richter scale value of 6.4.
According to the BBC, Thailand experiences few earthquakes, thus structures there are not built to withstand them, which is why the skyscraper collapsed.
